Bulk of the shoot – iGolf Studio (Web-Video) – 22nd February 2015

My first day of shooting at iGolf (The Previous time I was unable to film), I wanted to get as much footage shot and audio recorded as possible. This ranged from filming a one on one interview with Iain Mackenzie, the man who owns iGolf Studio. To filming inserts, a ton of inserts to fit with what he says in the interview and, in the demonstration which Tom Johnson, golf trainer and pro at iGolf would provide for us.

It was a pretty standard shoot, get the necessary, and most important footage first, ticking it off the shot list one by one. Then, making sure to cover all bases and have several inputs for audio, through the Tascam, into the camera; so there’s no chance of having zero audio if any of the devices had a problem.

It roughly took myself and Charlotte Lenihan, 3 hours, just under to film everything we needed to have an edit timeline filled with footage to create it’s basic form, so that we can see if we need any more footage, like inserts, or soundbites we would need to finish the video.

Hadee Engineering #1 (Web-Video) – 18th February 2015

Worked on a shoot at Hadee Engineering, they are wanting a promotional video to be made for their website to promote the work they do.

Now, a lot of the footage I was able to record was restricted to specific elements. This was due to unrecordable elements that I won’t go into detail on.

Myself and Josh Hague had a tour of the warehouse and offices where we could film, making sure to take as much time to get the footage we needed. We would need more in these areas due to the little access we had to the companies facilities.

Nothing more to add, it was a quick couple hours of filming. Nothing major for this shoot day.

Way too public – A Daisy is just a flower

For the third time now I’m unsuccessful in finding a location that I can use. Not that I wouldn’t want to film in the three locations but it’s the problems they would cause me on the day of the shoot.

It’s a great looking location, the problem is that it’s incredibly public. Both sides are infused with noise. On the one side car Traffic, the other; the train.

Clear audio in this location would not be acquirable. Just a mess of distorted background noise, if edited in post. Which will be needed.

The search for a private Basketball court is difficult, the problem is not in finding a location but the restrictions surrounding them.

The desired side of the court is ideal for setting the scene.
